MAYOR Eric C. Codilla approved the release of P1.5 million cash assistance to three cities devastated by typhoon “Sendong” namely Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Valencia. The amount will be taken from the 5% calamity fund reserve of the city’s annual budget.
RA 10121 allows the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (LDRRMC) to transfer said fund to support the work of other LDRRMCs in areas that are declared under a state of calamity. “Sendong” was declared the world’s deadliest typhoon for 2011. by Felix N. Codilla III
